The first Mega Man Universe trailer was a Saturday morning cartoon scatter bomb of weird images and children's toys interacting in a way that Buzz Lightyear would probably regard as genocide.  I still don't know what was going on in that clip but it definitely wasn't reflective of gameplay and it left fans with far more questions than answers. Thankfully Capcom has decided to clear up some of the confusion.

The new Mega Man Universe gameplay trailer - complete with Keiji Inafune introduction - gives us our first real glimpse of the game. From the look of things Mega Man Universe appears to be a classic 2D Mega Man game with a significant graphical update and all of the familiar Mega Man trappings.

Then Capcom throws a wrench in the whole thing in the last five seconds. I won't spoil the surprise so let's just say that there are still a few unanswered questions.
