Rocksmith and Megadeath Hot pick Contest
Ubisoft has released its entry into the musical game genre with Rocksmith. However, unlike other games, where you simply plug in a controller designed to look like an instrument, Rocksmith uses a real guitar, and helps you learn how to really play. Rather than just learning the timing with some buttons, you actually learn to play the strings. It’s more than just another game; it’s an experience that has to been seen first hand.
With the history of video games being expanded upon at a breathtaking rate, it can be remarkably easy to forget, or just simply lose track of those games you once cherished. And as more games come out, there need to be more ways to play the ones being left behind.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood added multiplayer to the mix last year, something many fans were worried about. It turned out to be far more interesting and engaging then expected, and this year, with Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Ubisoft is hoping to do this again. The game offers a new multiplayer mode, new challenge, and a new installment in the story. Melanie got a chance to talk to Jeyson Acevedo, from Ubisoft, about what we can expect in this installment.
Everyone wants to be a rock star, but most music games only give you a small taste of that dream. Rocksmith wants to change that. With the use of a real guitar, real tabs, and a stripped-down interface, it can actually teach you how to play. Melanie got a chance to talk to the game's audio design lead, Nick Bonardi, about why this game is so unique and why it is a must-buy for the wannabe rock star this holiday.
